I’m a Denver resident looking for some peace and quiet—something most people reasonably expect in their own neighborhood.

My wife and I once lived along a noisy corridor and eventually moved, spending more to try to avoid the constant vehicle noise. What we found is that it’s difficult to escape—major roads are everywhere, and excessive noise from modified exhausts carries into surrounding neighborhoods.

Access to a reasonably quiet living environment shouldn’t depend on where you live or how much you spend. This is not limited to one neighborhood—it’s happening across the city.

Suggestions to “just move somewhere quieter” overlook the reality that housing decisions are shaped by cost, work, and access to transit. Living near transit or major corridors shouldn’t come with constant exposure to excessive vehicle noise.

This project is an effort to document the scale of the problem and highlight the gap between existing laws and real-world enforcement.
